10 Year Class Reunion Details

Invitations were sent out on Wednesday May 4, 2005. We had addresses for 210 of the 230 people in our class (still looking for the other 20 on the bottom of this page). Here are details from the invitation:

Where: Holiday Inn City Center, Peoria
Date: Saturday, July 23rd, 2005
Time: Doors open at 5:30 P.M.; Dinner at 6:30 P.M.
What: An adult-only evening of dinner, dancing, and reuniting with old friends. A hot buffet dinner including chicken, beef tips, vegetables, salads, and desserts will be served. A cash bar will be available. Dress will be semi-formal; you know… like what you would wear to a wedding.
Accommodations: If you would like to stay at the Holiday Inn City Center Saturday night, we have blocked off rooms for $95/night. Get your room early, so you don’t get left out. You can make your reservation by calling 309-674-2500.

Where: Kennel Lake, Morton
Date: Sunday, July 24th, 2005
Time: 1:00 P.M.
What: Lunch and fun in the park. Please feel free to bring your children. Fried chicken and beverages will be provided.
Bring: A dish to pass, table service and chairs for you and your family

In order to keep things simple, there will be one payment for the entire weekend. The cost is $35 per adult.

At the reunion, you will receive a class booklet with updates about your fellow classmates. Even if you are unable to attend the reunion we would love to know what you have done the last ten years, so please send us your questionnaire and one photo for the book either by mail or online. If you send your photo in by mail put your name on the back of the photo and we will return it to you at the reunion. If you have put photos online, please email your favorite one to Robin (robin@potters95.com) to add to the book. In order for the class book to be finished by the reunion, please have your questionnaire and photos completed by June 1st.

I have talked to the Holiday Inn City Center about the reunion temperature situation (NO Air Conditioning).
They have agreed to give us less than 20% of the total bill in return for the inconvience. Although something is better than nothing, this repayment is not enough for me or anyone else who visits this site to have a continued interested in hosting events at the Holiday Inn City Center. I have informed the manager, that we are not satisfied and I hope that you share your story with everyone you know and be sure to suggest other venues for your events.
